時有耳聞蟒蛇會生吞其他比自己體型還要巨大的動物，但有時候總是會遇到比較難纏的獵物。馬來西亞一條巨蟒昨日（2日）上午想要吞下1隻山豬來作為自己的早餐時，竟慘遭另外3隻「豬隊友」的圍攻，承受不住攻擊的巨蟒最後全身傷痕累累。
根據《中國報》的報導，在馬來西亞吉打州罵莫都巴休閒區有民眾發現，一條長約5公尺的巨蟒正在吞食一隻山豬，嚇得他趕緊打電話報警求助，待民防部隊隊員到場時，卻只看見這條蟒蛇身負重傷地趴在一條小溪的石頭上，原來是因為牠吞食山豬時，觸怒了其他3隻山豬，巨蟒慘遭「豬隊友們」的猛烈攻擊，全身上下多處都有受傷的痕跡，最後民防部隊隊員將這條巨蟒抓住，並將之帶往安全的地方放生。
在過去也曾有蟒蛇和體型較大的動物發生「肉搏戰」的案例，像是鱷魚等生猛的動物，但鱷魚可能比山豬更為難纏，曾有美國男子便看見巨蟒和鱷魚的生死鬥，最後巨蟒不幸身亡。也曾有人發現，儘管蟒蛇已經獲得勝利將鱷魚生吞下肚了，卻意外地撐破了肚皮，腹中鱷魚的下肢屍體直接從破口中露出。
