馬林魚1日主場迎戰洛磯隊，陳偉殷今年首度登板，但時間只是很短，因為新秀投手阿坎塔拉(Sandy Alcantara)極為勇猛，8局無失分無保送。陳偉殷在9局上領先3分時登板，也就是救援投手的身分，可惜他很快就被攻佔一二壘，緊急被教練換下，最後馬林魚以羅莫(Sergio Romo)關門守住3比0勝利。

由於是在馬林魚主場，對方又輪到左打，總教練想給陳偉殷一個救援的機會，他生涯還沒有救援成功的紀錄。首位打者是洛磯開路先鋒布萊克蒙(Charlie Blackmon)，僅3球就打成深遠的平飛二壘打。接著陳偉殷在兩好三壞時保送達爾(David Dahl)，這時如果挨1轟就完了，所以陳偉殷被迫退場，一位打者都沒有解決，留下兩位跑者。









陳偉殷說：「這是我的責任，我應該要解決那兩位左打者，但我沒有表現好。」羅莫頂住壓力連續解決3位打者，終究沒有讓洛磯得分，但羅莫也不是每次都靈的，他本季首戰只投0.1局就被打4分，自責分率108.0。









馬林魚的牛棚投手還是不夠用，也沒有正式的終結者，總教練麥汀利(Don Mattingly)仍對陳偉殷有信心。「陳的經驗豐富，肯定能對我們有幫助，他還有很多機會上場接受重要任務，我們一定會找到方法善用他。」
