最近我們的國家通訊傳播委員會（NCC）對媒體開刀了，理由是因為對某位特定政治人物超過比例的報導，我們就要來探討NCC這麼做到底對不對？那麼，在談這件事之前，我們先看看美國的有線電視新聞網（CNN）的例子！
大家都知道美國的川普總統常常跟媒體吵架，他認為著名的幾家媒體都是希拉蕊的打手，所以他就自己開始用直播的方式發表政見。然後我們看到川普最近又跟CNN槓上了，他直接罵CNN報導假新聞，甚至不讓該媒體的記者發問。雖然CNN屢次遭受美國總統點名批判，可是像CNN這麼大的電視公司從來沒有受過一次懲罰。
另一方面，我們中華民國有一個NCC，他有權對所有的電視台進行三年一次的執照審查。也就是說，假如你的政策沒有辦法符合NCC訂立的標準，那就要做好被撤銷執照的心理準備，可以想見這是多麼大的一個壓力。
大家想想看，美國是世界上最大的民主國家，新聞自由也是全世界的參考標準，如果連美國總統點名批判的媒體都不會有任何懲罰，那為什麼同樣號稱民主自由的台灣會發生對特定媒體開刀的事情呢？
更重要的是，如果要針對某家媒體報導特定人士過多的正面新聞懲處，那麼報導某人過多負面新聞的媒體不是也應該同樣受罰嗎？進一步說，如果對一家媒體可以用這樣的標準去處罰，那就代表媒體不可以有任何一點NCC覺得偏頗的立場，這樣其他綠營的電視台理應也要罰才對吧！
說了那麼多，到底要怎麼做才算是公道？其實相當容易，如果有一家新聞媒體的報導是不公正的，你可以選擇不看這一台，當其收視率降低就自然不會再繼續相關的報導。這就是讓自由市場來決定什麼才是好新聞，也就是讓受眾自我選擇新聞的價值。
總而言之，絕對不應該有政府的公權力來壓制新聞自由，畢竟媒體是「第四權」，有監督政府的基本職責。如果依照我們現在NCC的處理方式，那我們就不算是有自由民主，這是非常嚴重的問題，我們千萬不要小看今天這件事情的嚴重性……更多分析請看影片解說！
