"/>高雄市長韓國瑜聲勢與日俱增，卻面臨藍營黨內「太陽與后羿爭輝」窘境。藍營支持者早已氣急敗壞，更將情緒施加給有選票壓力的民意代表。爭取角逐立委的台北市議員王鴻薇就激動懇求韓，拜託別再做「哼歌」與「發負責文」這樣的事，因為他們真的無法承受。
王鴻薇上節目《新聞深喉嚨》，沉重表示：「我覺得問題還是在韓國瑜。韓國瑜選不選，沒有到攤牌的時候，時間還沒有到，但是我覺得像包含他唱『堅持不考慮2020』，或者是這樣深夜發的一個『負責文』，我覺得真的不要再做……我覺得真的不要再做……所謂『一鼓作氣，再而衰，三而竭』。」
王鴻薇進一步表示：「我跟大家報告一下，因為我現在也在爭取國民黨的立法委員的提名，所以我昨天早上一口氣掃三個市場。然後到市場裡面，其實大家不大關心我的選情，抓著你、熱情的抓著你，就是在問，『韓國瑜到底選不選？』『你去跟韓國瑜說、你去跟吳敦義說、你去跟你們國民黨說，沒有韓國瑜我就不投了！通通不要投了！』大概都是在反應這樣的事情，所以我昨天的掃市場，其實效果是很有限的，對我個人拉票有限，大家關心的是這個議題。」
此外，王鴻薇說道：「今天早上，我們助理跟我講，他從一進辦公室的時候，就一直不停的接電話，這個其實過去很少見。一個早上，大概有起碼30通以上的電話，大概也都是反應：第一個，『韓國瑜到底要不要選？』然後『告訴你們，如果韓國瑜不選的話，我這次都不要投了！立委我都不投！』不然就告訴你，『我告訴你，我家12票，12票如果沒有韓國瑜的話，我通通不投！』」
綜觀以上，王鴻薇認為，這確實代表著藍營基層與支持者，高度的焦慮。這個焦慮某一個程度，轉為了憤怒。王激動表示：「如果你們不好好處理這個事情，我告訴你會有什麼結果──『我不出來投票！』」
